Who we are
Stamford Center for the Arts (SCA) is dedicated to serving as the region's premiere center for the performing arts. The Palace Theatre, a 1580-seat Thomas Lamb-designed vaudeville house, was acclaimed as "Connecticut's Most Magnificent" when it opened in 1927. It was restored and reopened in 1983 for live theatre, opera, dance and concerts. Additionally, art exhibits are displayed in the Sackler Gallery.
The Palace Theatre is also home to the Ballet School of Stamford, Connecticut Ballet, Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra, DanceFest, Lumina String Quartet,
